Happy Wednesday, Fairy Sleepers! I hope you had a wonderful week! This week’s story is written by Herman Melville and called The Piazza from the book of short stories called The Piazza Tales. Melville is perhaps best known for his novel Moby Dick. In this short story, his stream of consciousness takes us across a mountain seeking something magical he spotted from his perch in his piazza. His story reminds us that looks can be deceiving. To chase magic and rainbows is never a bad pursuit so long as we remember that (to quote Shakespeare from The Merchant of Venice) “not all that glistens is gold.” I hope it makes you very, Fairy Sleepy! Until next time, goodnight!
